A hand clasped Tet's shoulder, trying to reassure him. "Let go of me, Damien." The fingers slid away at the gaspy command. More tears welled up, and soon it wasn't only Tetsume's tears to hit the ground. Dametre had been the best, the best out of all of them.
"I-I can't believe he's really gone," Tetsume said quietly. Megan kneeled by his side and hugged onto him. "I can't do this Meg, I can't live without him."
She laid her cheek on his shoulder. "We need you Tet, you can't leave us. I'm too selfish to let you go. Metre wouldn't you want you to leave us."
"I can't live for you . . . I have to go Megan. Let me go, please," his voice sounded like he was already dead. And inside, he was.
She hugged onto his arm. "Please, don't leave me alone Tetsume."
The tough Ryoushi closed his eyes and bit back his emotions. He could live without his light, he could live for someone other than himself. just like Metre did his whole life. Metre . . . He burst out crying again. "I can't do it! I can't take this. Bury me with him, please!"
Megan just help him tighter as he sobbed into the ivory coffin with the blood red trim.
"Tetsume," a firm voice, Damien's, "It's time, Tetsume."
Tetsume froze, then relaxed his form. He slowly stood up and shut the casket with his sister clinging to his side.
The last remaining members of NOX's blood clan gathered around Dametre as Tetsume, Damien, and Derec lifted the coffin and carried it to it's final resting place.
Derec took his mate's arm and teleported with a dark sad look at the grave. Metre had been a close friend to him as well.
"If you guys need anything, we will help you. Even though our family is split up, we're still family."
Megan hissed. "After what you did, I will never accept your help! Ever!"
"Get out of here, Damien," Tetsume said quietly, and grabbed the shovel. The eldest vampire nodded and respected his wishes and dissappeared into the sunlit morning.
Megan moved to help her mourning brother but stopped short at the growl he shot her. "Leave me alone, for now Megan. I'll contact you later."
She sighed and dissappeared.
The shovel lifted and threw dirt at an almost human rate. There was no hurry with an unending eternity alone staring down at him. All too soon the dirt was replaced and packed down, a darkening dusk highlighting the white tombstone. Tetsume threw the shovel aside and laid down ontop of the grave. New tears escaped and rolled down his cheeks to blend into the dirt. Tetsume sobbed and rested his head on the ground, prepared to stay there until he starved to death.
"I love you Metre, forever."

I don't get high, but sometimes I wish I did. That way, when I messed up in life I would have an excuse. But right now there's no rehab for stupidity. - Chris Rock
